ONCE YOU GET TO KNOW OUR CITY...
YOU
WILL LOVE IT!!
Colombia, a Spanish speaking
country, is located in the most northern corner of South
America and we are proud to say that it is one of the
most developed countries in the region, only to be compared
with Brasil, Argentina and Chile.
Bogotá,
home of the central Colombian Government, is located
in a beautiful valley within the Andes Mountain Chain
at 8,300 feet over sea level, it has approximately
six and a half million inhabitants and, because it
is quite near to the equator line, it has no seasons.

Bogotá is
only three hours away from Miami (Fl) in a commercial
flight and possess a rather steady nice climate with temperatures
varying between 14 and 21 degrees Celsius during the day.
Bogotá is a beautiful city. They are always cleaning the streets and they keep everything very neat. I would certainly love to live there.

My experience in Colombia was a great one. I enjoyed very much to go site seeing and shopping around Bogotá. I always felt safe and relaxed going out with my personal guide.

The city has
completely changed its face in the past twelve years
and now a days it is recognized worldwide as a model of
urban development and excellent Government management.
During
the last decade it has improved noticeably it's security
statistics and the life quality standards of it's citizens
as well, gaining international recognition for these
achievements.
Did you know that Bogota has
more than 250 kilometers of jogging and cycling trails,
24 different gorgeous 18-hole Golf courses, 12 public
libraries equipped with the most advanced technology
in the region, some of which won various international
architectonic awards?
It also has 42 spectacular
museums, including the Central Bank's Gold Museum
that has the biggest priceless collection of
pre-Columbian gold art in the world. |
Thanks to it's strategic location in South
America, it's highly qualified human capital and extraordinary
technological and logistic infrastructure, more than 400
Multinational firms have located their headquarters for
the region in Bogota , 136 of which appear in the Fortune
500 list including 7 of the biggest 10.
Along with Bogotá,
our Nation has accomplished great goals in the recent
years.
With Alvaro Uribe as our
President, Colombia has attained the most extraordinary
goals in our battle against insecurity and terrorism.
Los Angeles Times, in a recently published
article, recognized the great progress we've made in this
area and praised the improvement in our life quality.
